Welcome. You’re probably here because, like me, you’re tired....tired of working, tired of 9-to-5s that stretch into 24/7, tired of pings during dinner, tired of pretending “flexible work” doesn’t mean “always working", tired of wrangling both deadlines and toddlers without enough support on either front, just tired of chasing the dream that has been sold to you from a young age, and are just looking to slow things down.

I’m an engineer in my late 30s, married with two young kids and a calendar that laughs in the face of the word free. After years of playing the corporate game (OK, I still technically am playing the game) and checking all the boxes — career, mortgage, family, I realized something was missing: freedom.

Not just financial freedom (though that’s part of it), but time freedom. Mental freedom. The freedom to log off without guilt, to be present with my kids, and to work toward something that actually feels like mine.

This blog is my outlet. It is part vent, part guide, part notebook for escaping the hamster wheel. Here, I share:

  • Financial strategies for people who don’t have hours to watch finance bros on YouTube
  • Parenting hacks for working parents who are constantly outnumbered
  • Career advice from someone who’s navigated office politics, burnout, and bad bosses
  • How-to guides for simplifying life, work, and everything in between
  • And occasionally, just some honest thoughts about how hard all of this can be

I don’t have it all figured out, but I’m figuring it out out loud, and if any of it helps you too, that’s a win.
